Asthma and allergies affect 1 out of every 4 people. And they impact 1 out of every 3 households. Designing Spaces sits down with Michelle Cassalia from the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America to discuss solutions for reducing asthma and allergy triggers in your home by utilizing asthma and allergy friendly products. First, Michelle explains how the foundation is helping people who suffer from asthma and allergies, including providing practical allergy information and tools to families, patients, parents, healthcare providers and policymakers. Michelle also discusses actions you can take to help keep the exposure to asthma triggers at a minimum, including vacuums and cleaning products that help reduce dust and other allergens in the home, from the living room to the bedrooms. People with asthma and allergies can live in healthier homes just by making a few cleaning-routine changes.
